    Chetwynd Public Library Groundbreaking Event
    A crowd gathered at the site of the new Chetwynd Public Library building.
    PRRD Area 'E' Director Dan Rose welcomed all to the event.
    Kelly Wilson, Chair of the Chetwynd Public Library Advisory Committee spoke about the importance of libraries and the services provided.

    Charles Elden speaks in remembrance of his mother, Yvonne Elden, and her passion for her community, volunteerism, and libraries.
    PRRD Area 'E' Director Dan Rose is presented a cheque on behalf of the Elden family in commemoration of Yvonne Elden.

     Brad Eddy, Plant Manager for Canfor Chetwynd Sawmill presented their donation of lumber (valued at nearly $10,000)
    Pat O'Flynn, General Manager of West Fraser Chetwynd Forest Industries presented their contribution of $11,858 worth of lumber towards the new Chetwynd Public Library.
    Kiel Giddens, Manager Public Relations spoke about the support that Coastal GasLink has received from the Chetwynd and surrounding community, and announced a $50,000 contribution from that organization.
    Sean Surerus, President, on behalf of Surerus Murphy Joint Venture, presents their funding contribution of $50,000 to the project.
    Amy Lievers, Project Architect with Faction Projects Inc. and Leon Gullickson, on behalf of the builder, Celtic Construction, say a few words about what the project means to them.
