Proposed Trail Route
about 3 years agoTrail Concept
The proposed trail concept is 2.9 km long and 2m wide for all trail types. It is very likely that land will need to be acquired to complete this trail, to meet the drainage requirements set out by MoTI. How this land will be acquired will need to be considered as part of the decision-making process moving forward.
Road Concept
The proposed road concept is 3.3 km long and 8.5m wide with two 3.75m wide lanes, 0.5m shoulders on either side and 3:1 ditches where possible for all road types. These dimensions were chosen as they meet or exceed the MoTI Provincial Low Volume Road (LVR) standard for all road types and have a suitable ditch profile for this region. There is a separate Peace District LVR standard that does require a wider lane width and thicker gravel structure, but due to space this isn't feasible.
Do you have feedback to provide on the trail and road layout? Post your feedback below!
