The Charlie Lake Fire Department (CLFD) is actively recruiting for 2024! If you are located within a 15 minute drive of Charlie Lake and looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to serve your community, we want to hear from you!

The CLFD recruits new firefighters once a year, with new recruits receiving six months of training under the new firefighter orientation program. Recruits then enter a probation period where they will receive training to the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 1001 Level 2 Standard. Once a recruit passes this training they are given a pager and accepted as a full-fledged firefighter. Currently, the department has about 24 firefighters trained to NFPA Level 2.
