Draft Regional Growth Strategy Now Available!
The public review of the draft Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) for the Peace River Regional District is a crucial step in shaping the future of the region! As we enter the fourth and final phase of this comprehensive project, community involvement becomes more important than ever.
Presented to the Regional Board on February 20, 2025, the draft RGS outlines a visionary plan for the next two decades, addressing challenges such as population growth, service demands, economic shifts and a changing climate. Engaging with the public allows residents to provide valuable feedback and insights, ensuring the strategy reflects the needs and aspirations of the community. This collaborative process will help refine the plan before its anticipated adoption as a regional bylaw in July 2025, ultimately fostering a thriving and resilient region.
As staff present the draft to member municipalities and neighboring districts, the voice of the public is essential in driving a collective vision for sustainable growth and development.
Review the draft Regional Growth Strategy and submit your feedback by emailing rgs@prrd.bc.ca.
