Osborn Hall Replacement Survey

IMPORTANT: Please look at the two design options and tax information before completing the survey.

The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) is reaching out to residents in the unincorporated community of Osborn in Electoral Area B to discuss the future of the site at 17526 Siphon Creek Road. The Osborn Community Hall has been closed since 2019 because of structural problems and the high cost of replacement.

Initial visioning for a new hall was done in 2020 and 2021, and after a project delay in 2022, we're now presenting two options and asking for your thoughts on which community space you prefer, which you think would best fit what the community needs and what you would be willing to pay for through your taxes.

The options include building a new hall, turning the site into community recreation grounds or keeping the site empty.

Your input is crucial and will help our project team prepare a report with recommendations for the PRRD Board. This report will help them decide the best way forward for the project.

About You

As part of planning this potential community space, we want to better understand who lives in the Golata Creek area, how they used the previous hall and how they may use a new community space. To help us with this, we have a few questions about you and your family.

Part of the process of building a potential community space may involve a public vote for property owners in the Osborn community. To get a sense of how many property owners there are, can you tell us if you rent or own your home?
