Regional Board Approves Abandonment of Regional Zoning Bylaw

At the August 6, 2026 Electoral Area Director's Committee meeting, the Electoral Area Directors passed a motion recommending that the Regional Board abandon the Regional Zoning Bylaw project. The Regional Board voted on this recommendation at the Regular Board Meeting on August 13, 2026 and authorized the abandonment of the bylaw.

At this time the proposed Regional Zoning Bylaw project is discontinued.

All existing zoning bylaws remain in force and effect.
