Public Consultation Open for Rolla Dyke Decommissioning Project
Following provincial guidelines, the PRRD is now holding a consultation period to gather public feedback on the following:
- Updated Decommissioning Plan: involves cutting four, five-meter channels through the dyke. This specific engineering design was chosen because it meets the Ministry's requirement to remove flood protection beyond the 10-year level. It also improves drainage for properties south of the dyke and helps the PRRD reduce long-term maintenance costs.
