Open Houses Well Attended

Thank you to everyone who attended an open house on the Building Bylaw Update to ask questions and engage with the Project Team. We had great turnouts at the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek events with over 25 attendees, and three attendees at the Chetwynd event.

Staff are now working on the final bylaw, which is forecasted to be presented to the Regional Board for consideration by mid April (2024).

Consultation has concluded. The Regional Board adopted the updated bylaw on May 30, 2024 at the Regular Board Meeting in Dawson Creek.

The new bylaw follows the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia template, and staff have worked hard to make it more accessible to the general public.
